Superstition Meadery Wins Best US and Arizona Tap Room at the 2020 RateBeer Best & Named a Top 100 Brewer in the World

Prescott, AZ February 4th, 2021 – Superstition Meadery was recognized by the annual RateBeer Best Competition for having the Best Brewer Tap Room in Arizona and Best Brewer Tap Room in the United States. RateBeer Best, started in 2002, is the world’s longest running competition of commercial beer, and also includes beverages like mead and cider. The awards are tabulated from millions of reviews submitted by its global community — an immense survey of hundreds of thousands of beers by over 35,000 brewers. The awards are among the rarest and most prized in the industry.

“RateBeer awards go out to fewer than 1% of all breweries, and 2020 with Covid restrictions was especially hard on brewers and the entire beverage industry. These are very hard-earned honors,” said Joseph Tucker, founder of RateBeer. “We’re pleased to shine our spotlight on this excellent, creative, tenacious group of brewers.”

In addition to being recognized for the unparalleled selection, service and style of the Prescott, AZ Superstition location, the meadery was also named a Top 100 Brewer in the World. This validation of the innovation and quality of Superstition’s hundreds of craft beverages maintains the company’s place at the top tier of craft producers internationally.

Superstition Meadery opened their Prescott, AZ Tasting Room in 2014. The Superstition Prescott location has consistently placed as a top venue on Yelp and Trip Advisor, having been awarded Trip Advisor Certificates of Excellence several years running, but to be recognized in competition amongst this amazing peer group of US and AZ based breweries is a new honor.

Kim Powers, Superstition’s Chief Culture and Administrative Officer said, “Superstition Meadery is truly a one-of-a-kind establishment due to the outstanding meads and ciders we serve, the cozy ambiance of our historic space, and the service excellence that each of our staff take pride in. Being named the best in the US is an amazing validation of our efforts, especially throughout the many challenges of 2020.”

Craft beverage aficionados can make a pilgrimage to Superstition’s HQ in Prescott 7 days a week, or visit their new location in Phoenix, Superstition Downtown, the world’s first mead and food pairing restaurant.
